Shark Valley Tram Tours

Construction Alert:
Due to ongoing Everglades Restoration construction along U.S. 41 to the east of Shark Valley, drivers may experience 15 - 20 minute delays.  As a result, you may wish to allow yourself a little extra driving time.
In addition, road resurfacing will be occurring between US 29 and Shark Valley from the west side starting in October 2012.  Some delays to our west should be expected as well.
Shark Valley Tram Tours offers a two-hour, open air tour through the Shark Valley section of Everglades National Park.  All tours are led by park trained naturalists, fully prepared to make your journey a memorable one.  Beside giving insight into the ecosystem as a whole, your guide will also help to point out some of the 'hidden' aspects which help to make this a world re-nown wetlands.  The open vehicles allow visitors to view wildlife within the sawgrass prairies on either side of the tram.

At the half-way point of the tour, a 45 foot high observation deck gives visitors an opportunity to enjoy the tranquil vistas of the Everglades, extending outward 20 miles in all directions.  A gradual ramp provides easy access to the observation tower deck, and every part of the ramp and deck provide chances to view something different.

Visitation is highest from
December 26th through April 25th,
and reservations are strongly
recommended during this
time period.  You may reserve
for the 9, 10, 2, 3, and 4:00
trams. There is no deposit required
for reservations, but tickets MUST
be picked up at least 30 minutes
prior to scheduled tour time.
Walk up visitation spikes in the middle
of the day,so reservations cannot be
made for the 11, 12, or 1:00 tours.
Tram tours are accessible
for persons with disabilities.

may have.		Shark Valley does not have
any restaurant facilities
available within the Park.

are available near the
tram office.
